GM Hikaru Banned By Twitch For Watching Another Streamer Play Chess!
If you are a fan of the game of Chess, the name Hikaru Nakamura may already be foreign to you. Hikaru Nakamura himself is known as the GM alias Grandmaster Chess from the United States.
GM Hikaru is still very much in the field of Chess and is a streamer on Twitch. Dubbed a chess genius, GM Hikaru earned the title of Chess Grandmaster as a youth in 2003 when he was 15 years old.
GM Hikaru banned by Twitch
Until now, GM Hikaru has bagged the Chess champion in the United States 5 times in a row. Talking about GM Hikaru, recently there has been quite a unique incident regarding his Twitch channel.
It is known that GM Hikaru’s channel on Twitch has now been officially banned. The reason why this could happen alone was because Hikaru was watching another streamer playing Chess.
Watch Dr DisRespect and Dr Lupo’s match
According to a clarification via his Youtube account, Hikaru explained that he was watching footage of the match between Dr DisRespect and Dr Lupo on Youtube a few days ago. This is most likely the reason why Channel Twitch its banned.
Hikaru Nakamura himself was known to be banned by Twitch for 3 days. During the livestreaming of the match, Nakamura was warned by the audience that watching another video clip would be banned by Twitch.
However, he ignored the fans’ warnings and in the end his Twitch channel was banned. Many fans argue that this has something to do with Dr DisRespect who was permanently banned in 2022.
