Epic Games Donates to Ukraine Through Fortnite Sales!
The war in Ukraine and Russia has become the world’s attention today. Russia, as the country that initiated the invasion of Ukraine, has received a lot of criticism from the international community. On the other hand, many people support Ukraine for humanitarian reasons.
This humanitarian reason has made Ukraine flooded with donations from various parties. Including Epic Games with their Fortnite. It is known that Epic Games will be donating 100% of their earnings from Fortnite from March 20 to April 3.
Epic Games collects Donations for Ukraine
In fact, as of March 26, Epic Games has managed to collect donations totaling USD 70 million or the equivalent of USD 1 trillion. This amount was collected in just six days.
This was immediately announced by Epic Games through the Fortnite Twitter account. Which said that the donation funds had collected USD 70 billion aka IDR 1 trillion on March 26.
Previously they have said that they managed to raise USD 36 million as of March 21 and on March 23, managed to add up to USD 50 million. Now, on March 26th it has increased to USD 70 million.

This donation will continue to grow until the end of the period on April 3rd. This donation to Ukraine coincides with the start of the new season of Fortnite Chapter 3.
Epic Games itself details the income that will be donated, namely from sales of V-Buck packages, Fortnite Crew subscription fees, Battle Passes to certain cosmetic packages. According to the official Epic Games website, the aid will be channeled to Ukraine through several humanitarian organizations.
Such as Direct Relief, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Not only that, Microsoft through Xbox has also contributed to Epic Games’ efforts for Ukraine. Hopefully the war between Ukraine and Russia will end soon and make the world as safe as it was before.
